Wrapping Up

1. Tell me about something you learned about another culture this term that really surprised or intrigued you.

I was really surprised to see that the culture between the Native Americans and the Aboriginal peoples of Australia was so similar. Even though America and Australia are so far apart, both of the indigenous populations are extremely alike and that was really interesting to me.

2. Tell me about something that you realized about your own culture through our discussions.

I noticed that my culture is not too different from other cultures around the world. I also noticed that it's been influenced by other cultures and has had an influence on other cultures.

3. Tell me about couple of things you really liked about this class, and a couple of things you wish could have been different.

I really liked that we listened to a lot of different types of music and watched videos as it kept me really interested. I also enjoyed doing blog posts as opposed to short answer questions or essays. I did not really like using the book, I felt that although it offered some information, It was very hard to find interest in. I also felt like the listening quiz were not very helpful.

4. Tell me about something that this course has inspired you to learn more about.

I really want to learn more about Indonesian culture. It was by far the most interesting to learn about and was very entertaining when we studied it in class.
